[The castle is even quieter today. Grog and Pike disappeared, then went Vex and Vax. The bakery was empty this morning, and Taryon couldn't handle being there for more than a few minutes. He closed the shop and returned home with Doty following him loyally.

Percival is still here, despite everything. His brother in science needs him. Taryon approaches the door to his room and knocks.] Percy? Are you in there?

[Percy's voice is calm but otherwise emotionless. Waking up to most of Vox Machina gone had been a shock. So he'd tried to sort out his raging emotions through work only to have Vernos call him out as a coward on the Sleepr. To say he was angry was an understatement.]

Ah Doty...good to have you back.

[Various projects are scattered around the work bench and Percy is looking tried as he looks at Tary.]

Tary. [Doty steps inside and remains by the door while Taryon walks up to one of the benches. He keeps a safe distance from the half-finished projects, but he wonders what each of them are meant to be.]

He'll be a big help around here. [He offers an uneasy smile that is quickly dropped.] ...I thought you mind want some extra hands in here.

[Percy attempts a smile, but he knows he's failing at it.]

Extra hands will be welcome now that the castle is a bit more empty....

[He finally speaks with emotion.]

How are you doing?

I'm fine. I'm okay. [He raises his shoulders and drops them immediately.] I'm told they'll be safe in my future, so I'm fine.

[His hand drifts over his chest, where his dragon tooth necklace would be hanging if he was wearing it when he was brought to Somnium.]

So, [He turns around and moves his hand onto his hip.] What can I help with here?

[Percy looks around the workshop at the various projects.]

I was attempting a wedding gift for Caleb and Essek but inspiration has flown.

[Taryon nods. Better not to push Percy to be inspired what he and Vex would want. It's up to him to solve this.]

They both like books. What about something thay turns the pages for them while they're in the bath? I think it's annoying when I have to dry my fingers every tim.le.

That's not a bad idea...that always annoyed me as well.

[Percy is deep in his mind trying to work out how to do it.]

The chemicals needed might be hard to get.

Just let me enchant it, it'll be easy. We'll have a present from both of us.

[He raises a finger, which withers and curls when he realizes something.]

...Get my magic back before I start anything.

[Percy groans softly]

There is that....it is times like this I wish I had some magic myself.

See? Magic can be handy. [Taryon just wants to bask in the feeling of victory as his science-only lab partner admits to the power of magic.]

[Taryon doesn't grin, but his smug smile and narrowed eyes wouldn't look out of place on a cat that knows it has won.]

I'd say ever since you showed me your workshop when we first met.
